Miyako Bay, located on the coast of Iwate prefecture in North-East Japan, is the birthplace of all Grand Seiko mechanical watches. The bay is renowned for its picturesque surroundings and is designated as a ‘Special Place of Scenic Beauty’ in Japan. Along the shores of Jodogahama Beach, visitors can witness a unique sight of white rock formations, created from ancient lava flows over 52 million years ago.
The Grand Seiko Heritage Collection Jodogahama Beach at Night 62GS Hi-Beat Limited Edition 40mm Grey Dial Gents Automatic Watch SBGH333G captures the mesmerizing essence of the Jodogahama beach at night through its dial. Its dark-grey color is complemented by a cool blue second hand, reminiscent of the moonlit waters and daytime skyline. A box-sapphire crystal glass reveals a geometric mosaic pattern, akin to the rock formations present on the beach. The 62GS style case is encased in a bezel-free design with a wide dial opening, allowing for enhanced light reflection. The multifaceted case with sharp edges, accompanied by Grand Seiko's signature Zaratsu polish, adds to the striking appearance of this timepiece.
Through the exhibition case back, one can see the Hi-Beat 9S85 movement, which was built in-house and vibrates at a rate of 36,000 times per hour. With an impressive accuracy of +5/-3 seconds per day, this timepiece boasts a power reserve of 55 hours.

Orders placed before 12pm Tuesday – Friday will be dispatched the same day (stock permitting). Orders placed after 12pm on Friday through to Monday will be dispatched on Tuesday. If there is a specific day that you would like to receive your order, please let us know as soon as you have placed your order and we will try our best to accomodate.
Orders that total £100 or more will be posted using Royal Mail Special Delivery. Orders that total less than £100 will be posted using Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For Delivery (1-2 working days). Although we cannot guarantee next day delivery with this service we have found that the majority of these orders arrive the next working day, in some cases including Saturday.
